Porto boasts a two-level iron bridge – Dom Luís I (designed by the Belgian engineer Téophile Seyrig, from 1868 until 1879 the partner Gustave Eiffel), and a railway bridge – Maria Pia, designed by Eiffel in association with Seyrig, were constructed, as well as the central railway station (São Bento, considered to be one of the most beautiful in Europe, ornamented with lavish painted tiles) This brooch is a replica of an old Green Doorway with it's lovely doorknockers. A very typical sight in downtown Porto. Topping this brooch off is a street sign pointing to Porto. Come in, you are only 4 kilometers away....The brooch measures 4.5" x 1.75" (11 x 4.5cm). It was handmade in Portugal using polymer clay and is both waterproof and lightweight.
