The Portuguese Taxi. Friction vintage toy. The old Portuguese Taxi in a special limited edition. This taxi model worked in the streets of lisbon untill 1970 with the original Black and green color. Nowadays the taxi colors are light brown, its a pure collectors item! A bit of history of the toy factory: Founded 50 years ago by a humble worker in the small village of Alfena the original factory first used the symbol 'Jaj' and is dedicated to the manufacture of toys and wooden plate. In 1955, using the plastic the factory started using the term 'jet' and, in 1977, 'Pepe'. Safety standards have prevented these products to be marketed as toys due to safety restrictions, so its production was discontinued. Currently it is highly valued as collector items.
